NOTD

Swedish electronic production duo NOTD (pronounced "noted") formed when its two members were still in high school. Establishing their brand with high-profile remixes for top pop acts such as Sia, Ed Sheeran, and Rihanna, they issued their debut single, "Summer of Love" featuring Dagny, in 2017. From there, a steady stream of singles kept them on the charts in Europe and the U.S., notably with 2018's multi-platinum "I Wanna Know" featuring Bea Miller and the chart-topping "So Close" with Felix Jaehn, Captain Cuts, and Georgia Ku. Into the 2020s, NOTD collaborated with artists such as Astrid S, Nina Nesbitt, and more. The duo -- Samuel Brandt (aka Severo) and Tobias Danielsson (aka ToWonder) -- met online and begin producing music together before realizing they were schoolmates. They built an audience with a prolific series of tropical-inspired future bass remixes of hit singles by the likes of Ed Sheeran ("Shape of You"), Shawn Mendes ("There's Nothing Holding Me Back"), Alessia Cara ("Scars to Your Beautiful"), DJ Khaled and Rihanna ("Wild Thoughts"), and more. While their Sheeran remix hit ten million streams and was nominated for Remix of the Year at the 2017 Electronic Music Awards, their spin on Stanaj's "Romantic" racked up 45 million. In August 2017, the pair released their original debut single, "Summer of Love," featuring Norwegian pop singer Dagny. They followed in 2018 with the Bea Miller-assisted, multi-platinum hit "I Wanna Know" and "So Close," the latter of which featured German DJ Felix Jaehn, Georgia Ku, and Captain Cuts. "So Close" peaked at number one on the U.S. Dance chart and was certified platinum. More tracks arrived in 2019, including "I Miss Myself" with HRVY and "Keep You Mine" with Shy Martin, both Top 100 hits in Sweden. Kicking off a new decade, NOTD's "I Don't Know Why" featuring Astrid S arrived in May 2020, hitting the charts in their respective homelands of Sweden and Norway. Subsequent collaborations included "Cry Dancing" with Nina Nesbitt and "Malibu" with Virginia to Vegas.
