Justice Carradine

Blessed with a keening, earnest voice that projects sensitivity, Justice Carradine specializes in open-hearted introspection and ballads, all accented with modern electronic flair. Over burbling trap beats and throwback gloss, Carradine pushes melody and emotion to the forefront, a combination showcased on his 2020 streaming breakthrough, "Necessary Evil." Born in Salt Lake City, Utah on December 19, 1999, Justice Carradine began playing music as a child, playing such stringed instruments as the guitar and ukulele but also learning drums. By the time he was in junior high, he earned online fame through social media posts, eventually taking his audience to YouTube, where he performed covers of such contemporary hits as Ed Sheeran and Post Malone. By 2018, he graduated to songwriting, with his song "Okay" helping to snag a deal with Chosen Music/Atlantic Records. For "Dangerous Love" in 2019, he worked with Jakke Erixon, an associate of Max Martin. "Necessary Evil" followed in 2020, becoming his first single to break a million streams. "Limbo" and "Can't Feel a Thing" both came out in 2020, with a new take on "Okay" arriving in 2021. The four-song debut EP What a Weird Dream saw release in September 2022. The anchor of the EP, "How it Ends," featured an interpolation of R.E.M.'s "It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)."
