Just Chase

Like Drake and many of his OVO Sound associates, Chase favors understated melodicism over relaxed, atmospheric productions. He made his debut in 2017, a few years following a westward move to Toronto, on his SOS ("save our soul") label. The singles "Ego" and "Between Us" led to the succinct mixtape Killing Roses later that year, an eight-track release of all-new material issued that November, on his late mother's birthday. At the time, a follow-up EP was already in the works.
