Hearts Hearts

An experimental indie-electronic outfit from Vienna, Hearts Hearts make woozy, spiraling songs marked by singer David Österle's yearning, enigmatically buried vocals. Formed in 2012 in Vienna, Hearts Hearts initially began as duo between Österle and guitarist Daniel Hämmerle. After adding electronics producer Peter Paul Aufreiter and drummer Johannes Mandorfer, the quartet set up camp in a monastery where they began crafting their sound, utilizing a mix of vintage instruments and modern effects. Out of these initial sessions, the group recorded and released their debut album, 2015's Young. The album got good press, and the band embarked on an extensive tour of Europe, playing several high-profile shows at festivals like Popfest, The Great Escape, and Reeperbahn. In 2018, Hearts Hearts returned with their sophomore full-length, Goods/Goods, featuring the singles "Phantom/Island" and "Sugar/Money."
