FictionJunction YUUKA

Fictionjunction is less of a band and more of an ongoing project surrounding the work of Yuki Kajiura, a Japanese musician and composer. The members of Fictionjunction - who are all female vocalists - only perform the works of Kajiura including her compositions for TV anime series, movies and video game soundtracks. She has also written musicals and made solo albums. When one of the singers from Fictionjunction performs or records with Kajiura, the project is named after the name of the singer plus the word Fictionjunction.

The project has been ongoing since September 2004 when Kajiura hired singer and voice actor Yuka Nanri to perform on the soundtrack of anime series 'Mobile Suit Gundam SEED'. This collaboration produced 'Chariot of Dawn', and following this, other vocalists of what became Fictionjunction joined forces. From then on, the Fictionjunction project ebbed and flowed with vocalists (the only official member is Kajiura herself) coming and going. The project has released one studio album and one live album as well as several EPs.
