Ed Drewett
Influenced by Robbie Williams and Justin Timberlake, singer/songwriter Ed Drewett was an established chart fixture before he'd even released his debut single. Born in Harlow, Essex, England in 1988, Drewett began singing at an early age, and after studying at London's Tech Music School he auditioned for Andrew Lloyd Webber's TV search to find a lead for a new production of Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Any Dream Will Do. Drewett made it into the final 20, just missing out on a spot in the live shows. Undeterred, he started writing his own material, and in 2009 signed a deal with Virgin Records. A year later, he supported Professor Green on his U.K. tour, appeared on his number three hit "I Need You Tonight," and penned the Wanted's chart-topper "All Time Low." His debut album, produced by the likes of Greg Kurstin, Wayne Hector, and Fraser T. Smith, was due for release in 2011.
