The Wall, o 11º álbum de estúdio da banda de rock progressivo britânica Pink Floyd, foi concebido como uma ópera rock baseada no personagem Pink, um alter ego de Roger Waters que opta por se isolar da sociedade. O álbum é o último a trazer o Pink Floyd como um quarteto, já que o tecladista Richard Wright foi demitido por Waters durante as gravações e tocou na turnê do álbum como músico contratado. Três músicas do disco foram lançadas como single: a conhecidíssima “Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2”, “Run Like Hell” e “Comfortably Numb”. O disco também deu origem a um filme, Pink Floyd – The Wall (1982), com roteiro de Roger Waters e direção de Alan Parker. Com mais de 30 milhões de cópias vendidas, The Wall é até hoje considerado um dos melhores álbuns de rock de todos os tempos.

The Wall, o 11º álbum de estúdio da banda de rock progressivo britânica Pink Floyd, foi concebido como uma ópera rock baseada no personagem Pink, um alter ego de Roger Waters que opta por se isolar da sociedade. O álbum é o último a trazer o Pink Floyd como um quarteto, já que o tecladista Richard Wright foi demitido por Waters durante as gravações e tocou na turnê do álbum como músico contratado. Três músicas do disco foram lançadas como single: a conhecidíssima “Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2”, “Run Like Hell” e “Comfortably Numb”. O disco também deu origem a um filme, Pink Floyd – The Wall (1982), com roteiro de Roger Waters e direção de Alan Parker. Com mais de 30 milhões de cópias vendidas, The Wall é até hoje considerado um dos melhores álbuns de rock de todos os tempos.
