Com produção de Giles Martin, Mark Ronson, Ethan Johns e Paul Epworth, o disco é composto por 12 músicas (e mais uma faixa escondida ao final) na edição padrão. Segundo o ex-Beatle, o álbum é inspirado em eventos de sua vida, e ele buscou produtores mais jovens para ter uma sonoridade mais atual.
