Will Dailey
Boston-based singer/songwriter Will Dailey first began playing guitar as an adolescent, and by his teens had graduated to playing shows at local pubs. In 2004, the burgeoning songwriter sold his car to pay for the recording of his debut album. Released in 2004, Goodbyeredbullet was a surprise indie seller, sporting several tracks that were later featured in television shows such as What About Brian, Jericho, and MTV's The Hills. In support of his newfound success, Dailey struck out on a national tour that was cut short when he came down with appendicitis. With mounting medical bills draining his finances, Dailey faced some bleak uncertainties about his career, although good luck arrived in the form of a contract with the independent label JS.
With help from his label, Dailey released the sophomore effort Back Flipping Forward in 2007. He then signed a new recording contract with CBS Records, which reissued Back Flipping Forward later that year. The deal with CBS proved to be especially helpful in expanding Dailey's profile, as the songwriter found his music featured in several of the network's TV shows. He continued releasing new material in 2009, which saw several digital EPs hitting the online market. Dailey later packaged two of those EPs into a tangible release, Torrent 1 & 2, which appeared during the late spring.
