Wendy Warner
Chicago cellist Wendy Warner studied extensively and performed with Mstislav Rostropovich, winning the 1990 Rostropovich Compeition in Paris. Since then, she has appeared around the world as a concerto soloist and as a chamber musician, collaborating with conductors and other musicians such as Semyon Bychkov, Anne-Sophie Mutter, Gidon Kremer, and Marin Alsop. She and pianist Irina Nuzova formed the WarnerNuzova duo in 2008. Warner teaches at Roosevelt University in Chicago and Columbus State University in Georgia.
