Qlowski
Qlowski play a brooding yet strangely sunny blend of dark, noisy post-punk and shimmering, keyboard-driven indie pop. A handful of early EPs and singles preceded 2021's Quale Futuro?, their propulsive debut full-length.
Originally from Bologna, Italy, and centered around dual vocalists and musicians Michele Tellarini and Cecilia Corapi, Qlowski self-released their debut EP in 2016. After moving to London, the band recorded their first 7" EP with Jonathan Clancy (His Clancyness), and it was mastered by Mikey Young (Total Control). Pure as Fear was released by Clancy's Maple Death Records in 2018. A second 7", "Ikea Youth"/"Grinding Halt," followed in 2020. Rounded out by bassist Danny Smartt and drummer Christian Billard, Qlowski released their debut LP, Quale Futuro?, in 2021.
