In 1976, with the disco wave arriving in Quebec, Mimi Hétu launched the song " Hey Boy ", written by Renée Martel. She returned to number one in 1980 with " Une Femme avec lui ", which spent 4 weeks at the top. Her final single, " Plus jamais le même ", was released in 1982. She went on to work in a pet shop, specializing in parrots and birds in general.
