Les Surfs
They played in front of Mobutu and Rainier III of Monaco, and topped the charts in France, Canada and, of course, their native Madagascar in the few years of their brief career. A Madagascan group from Antananarivo, the Surfs were one of the very few teenage bands to make it big in the French-speaking music scene of the 60s.
