Laethora
Gothenburg, Sweden's Laethora is the side project of Dark Tranquillity guitarist and in-demand graphic designer Niklas Sundin, who wished to revisit the more brutal qualities of the Swedish death metal scene and U.K.-based grindcore of the early '90s and bring them up to new-millennium spec. So, beginning in 2006, he sought out likeminded musicians in guitarist Joakim Rosén, bassist Jonnie Täll, drummer Joel Lindell (all three of them members of goth metal band the Provenance), and vocalist Jonathan Nordenstam, before recording 2007's March of the Parasite album, following it three years later with Laethora's sophomore effort, The Light in Which We All Burn.
