Helsloot

Misja Helsloot, known as Trance and Progressive DJ Helsloot, was born on January 21, 1973 in Rotterdam. At the age of 19, the Dutchman began organizing his own EDM events and building up a network in the scene. in 1998, his friend DJ Tiësto invited him to mix the first edition of the compilation In Trance We Trust. He had his first own musical output in 2002 with the single "First Second". in 2009, he released his debut album All Inclusive, which featured collaborations with Signum, Sied van Riel and Leon Bolier, among others. Over decades of touring, he succeeded in further increasing his popularity. He has performed at major events such as Nature One, Trance Energy and the Street Parade in Zurich. WhatTheHelsloot, his second longplayer, was released in 2019. Although Helsloot was not known in the mainstream, he was a big name in the trance scene, which he had actively shaped for over 20 years before his first chart success. "Because You Move Me", which he released in 2021 together with the producer duo Tinlicker, was awarded a gold record in Germany and reached number 14 in the charts. The song was also successful in Austria (number 26) and Switzerland (number 19).
