Grupo Cali
Tropical act from Argentina Grupo Cali started playing in the late '80s under the name of Tropical Santa Fe, based on its native city. In 1992, led by local musician Dario Zanco and ex-Grupo Alegria singer Sergio Torres, the band changed its name to Grupo Cali. The band's debut album, called Mi Amante, was released in 1994 by Barca Discos, a local label founded by Elio Barbeito. They later issued that first successful record in Chile, Uruguay, and Mexico.
