Atlanta duo FamousSally & YB are the definition of viral success, creating their infectiously bold track "Wassup Gway" the very first time they entered the studio. The song's 808-fueled bump and casual flows caught on instantly upon its release in September of 2023, spreading first on social media as a celebration of local slang but quickly surpassing millions of plays, streams, and other impressions to translate into a national hit. FamousSally & YB met in grade school and became better friends in high school, remaining close into adulthood. Their first foray into music was never intended to launch a public career, but after recording their fun, confident anthem "Wassup Gway" and sharing it occasionally on their personal social media, the song attracted enough attention to merit wide release.
