Absinthe Blind
Formed in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, Absinthe Blind was composed of guitarist/vocalist Adam Fein, guitarist/keyboardist Tristan Wraight, bassist Mike Zolfo, and drummer Seth Fein. Unsurprisingly, considering that Wraight spent much of his childhood in England, the band's neo-psychedelic pop is drawn from mostly British sources, such as Radiohead, the Verve, the Stone Roses, and My Bloody Valentine, as well as Syd Barrett-era Pink Floyd. Absinthe Blind's initial album, When Our Flashes Sway, was issued in 1997 by Hammerhead; it was followed a year later by solarshift.
