Patrice decided to record this album in his childhood home near Cologne, Germany. Super Album is essentially a compilation of jam sessions that feature some of his most memorable tracks. Of course, it contains the classics such as ‘Soulstorm’, ‘Everyday Good’ and ‘Sunshine’, but it mostly celebrates his more soulful tracks. Despite the presence of ‘Burning Bridges’ and ‘Up In My Room’, the reggae rhythms are few and far between, leaving room for the more hushed, organic and acoustic side to his discography. His desire to create great melodies and give a full-bodied performance is tangible on ‘You Always You’ and ‘Hippies With Guns’. Patrice revisits songs from different stages of his career, tying them all together seamlessly and weaving a link between the spiritual depth of his early days, the concert machine of his middle years, and the studio rat of his later years. He even drops an unreleased track, a cover of the Beach Boys' hit ‘Good Vibrations’ mixed with a drum sample from Mobb Deep's ‘Quiet Storm’.
