Speakeasy, the third full-length Stavesacre album, ups the band's accessibility level with a greater emphasis on melodic songcraft. Their instrumental work is just as intense and aggressive as ever, and their lyrics begin to explore spirituality and Christianity in a bit more depth than before. But it's more significant that the band has taken a major step forward in terms of their songwriting skills, which helps make Speakeasy its best release to date.
