This European import collection is a repackaging of the well-sequenced and selected M.U.: The Best of Jethro Tull. The strongest tracks from Tull's first eight albums all make appearances here: "Aqualung," "Locomotive Breath," "Bungle in the Jungle," and "Living in the Past," which was Tull's biggest charting hit of the 1970s. It's been graced with tasteful digital-age packaging, but also with Copy Control technology. Copy Control should allow the CD to play on all CD and DVD players and most computers, without allowing the information on the disc to be "ripped" for file sharing. However, attempts by this writer to play the disc were halted at nine seconds for each track. It fared better on other players, but hopefully this feature will go the way of "home taping is killing the music industry," the tag that graced albums in the late-'70s when the music industry was last in the thralls of format paranoia.
