Yolanda Duke
Latin singer Yolanda Duke was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in the U.S. after her family moved to New York in 1969. Before winning her first festival in 1979, tropical music became her favorite style. Yolanda Duke won New York's Newcomer Artist Award in 1990, and the Most Popular Female Vocalist a year later. Her debut album called Soy Una Fiera was followed by a tribute to Cuban legend La Lupe titled Nostalgias de La Lupe.
