TimeBelle
Timebelle is a pop band formed in Switzerland in 2015. The band is best known for their 2017 Eurovision Song Contest entry “Apollo”. Originally formed as a five member boyband – Samuel Forster (drums), Emanuel Daniel Andriescu (keyboards), Rade Mijatović (accordion), Christoph Siegrist (guitar), and Sándor Török (bass) - while the members attended the University of Bern, the band featured members from Romania, Hungary, Serbia, Germany, and Switzerland. Early in their career, their producer suggested the addition of Miruna Mănescu as the band’s lead vocalist. In 2015, Timebelle attempted to enter the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest with the song “Singing About Love”, but ultimately lost the Swiss national final. “Singing About Love” was taken from their 2015 EP Desperado. While the band was reduced to a trio – Mănescu, Andriescu, and Forster – they won the Swiss national final with “Apollo” and represented Switzerland in the 2017 Eurovision contest. They placed 12th in the second semi-final.
