Three Times Dope
Philadelphia rappers Duerwood Beale, Walter Griggs, and Robert Walker formed Three Times Dope and released their debut, Original Stylin', in 1989. It was filled mainly with boasting, self-promoting narratives, and comic/novelty material, though the "What's Going On" medley attempted to address social issues. Their second release was Live From Acknikulous Land in 1990, which tried to be a more serious "concept" work.
