Jordyn Shellhart

A talented country-pop singer/songwriter who has found success writing for others and as a solo artist, Jordyn Shellhart's intimate songcraft recalls foundational artists like Emmylou Harris and Kris Kristofferson, as well as contemporary tunesmiths such as Taylor Swift, Kacey Musgraves, and Phoebe Bridgers. By the age of 16, she was a published songwriter and major-label recording artist with an appearance at the Grand Ole Opry under her belt. In 2023, 14 years after her debut, she released her second album, Primrose. Born in Wheatland, Wyoming, and raised in Santa Rosa, California, Shellhart started writing songs at ten, but it wasn't until she picked up the guitar three years later that she became serious about making it in the music industry. In 2008, she signed a publishing deal with SeaGayle Music, and began balancing high school with a burgeoning music career. Shellhart released her bare-bones, all-acoustic debut, In a Room, the following year. In the 2010s, she penned hits for Kelsea Ballerini, Cody Johnson, Don Williams, and Little Big Town, with the latter collaboration earning a Grammy nomination. In 2022, Shellhart inked a deal with Warner Music Nashville and contributed the song "Praise You" to season three of the popular British teen sitcom Derry Girls. Over the next several months, she released a succession of singles including "Who Are You Mad At?" and the poignant "Maybe Someday You'll Have a Daughter." Both songs appeared on her 2023 full-length Primrose.
