James Varda
This Suffolk-based singer-songwriter released one album in 1990 and toured with Roy Harper before returning to teaching in 1992. The John Leckie-produced Hunger, gained good reviews, and was favourably compared to Roger McGuinn. Varda’s songs are full of dark imagery and introspective observations. The album also included contributions from Roy’s son, Nick Harper.
In the new millenium Varda released his acoustic follow-up, In The Valley.
