James Hurt
New York City jazz pianist James Hurt first garnered attention during the mid-1990s, playing on sessions from Antonio Hart (Here I Stand), Russell Gunn (Gunn Fu) and Sherman Irby (Full Circle). His debut as a leader, Dark Grooves--Mystical Rhythms, followed on Blue Note in 1999.
