Kim Hyo-jong (June 1, 1994), better known by his stage name Dawn, is a South Korean rapper, singer, and songwriter. He debuted as a member of the boy band Pentagon in 2016 after participating in the reality survival show Pentagon Maker. Known back then as E'Dawn, he released nine EPs with the group in both Korean and Japanese. In 2017, he also became a part of the pop trio Triple H alongside bandmate Hui and Hyuna. After his contract with Cube Entertainment was terminated in 2018, he changed his stage name to Dawn and signed with Psy's P Nation label. "Money," his debut as a solo artist, appeared in 2019 and climbed to Number 11 on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart. Following the release of his first EP Dawndididawn in 2020, Dawn teamed up with fellow singer and romantic partner Hyuna on the collaborative album 1+1=1 (2021), which peaked at Number 13 on the Gaon charts. In 2022, his single "Stupid Cool" entered the Singaporean charts at Number 14.
