Heather Jones

Ute Freudenberg (born January 12, 1956 in Schöndorf near Weimar) is a rock, pop and pop singer from Germany. Her musical career began in the mid-1970s in the GDR. The artist celebrated her first successes as the lead singer of the rock band Elefant. The 1980 album Jugendliebe and the single of the same name are among the GDR's rock classics. In 1984, Ute Freudenberg uses a TV appearance in West Germany to turn her back on the GDR. It takes a while for the singer to gain a foothold here too. Under the stage name Heather Jones, she had a minor hit in 1988 with the song This was the last time. In 1990, she released the single "Ein Tag wie heut'", the German cover version of the Whitney Houston world hit "One Moment in Time", as Ute Freudenberg. Four years later, Ute Freudenberg's first longplayer followed with the title Und da fragst du noch? Further albums and numerous TV appearances in various music programs followed in the years to come. In 2011, Ute Freudenberg, together with Christian Lais and the album Ungeteilt, achieved a real top hit at number 14. The longplayer goes gold. Ute Freudenberg then regularly recorded albums with Christian Lais and achieved top positions in the German charts. However, Ute Freudenberg has also enjoyed success as a solo artist to this day. In 2023, her album Stark wie nie is released, with which the artist reaches number 35 in Germany.
