Fit of Body
Ryan Parks, aka Fit of Body, is an Atlanta-based indie electronic performer whose dreamy, after-hours sound draws upon the varied influence of classic post-punk, underground hip-hop, techno, and even the handheld, run-and-gun aesthetic of skate videos. He garnered buzz with a series of cassette releases before gaining wider attention with 2018's Black Box No Cops and 2023's Far from Rhythm.
Born and raised in College Park, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta, Parks grew up skateboarding. He eventually got into the arts, painting and producing his own electronic tracks. Establishing himself on the vibrant Atlanta-area hip-hop and indie music scene, he eventually launched his own Harsh Riddims label. Going under the Fit of Body moniker, he issued a series of self-produced, cassette-only albums. In 2018, he released his debut full-length album, Black Box No Cops, on the 2MR label. His sophomore full-length, Far from Rhythm, arrived in 2023 and featured guest vocals by his 2MR labelmate Elizabeth Wight.
