Dora Jar

Singer and songwriter Dora Jar is known for her arty blend of folky, avant-garde-influenced pop, first showcased on 2021's Meadow Music EP. Born in New York City, Jar grew up in California's Bay Area with parents who introduced her to show tunes, opera, and jazz. In her teens, she attended an East Coast boarding school where she performed in musical theater and began writing songs. After graduating, she moved to Poland, where her father was originally from, to stay with family. There she began posting her songs online and eventually caught the ear of a producer based in London. Encouraged by the producer's input, Jar eventually moved to London to further develop her sound. In 2021, she released her debut EP, Meadow Music.
