Chad Jackson
b. England. Larger-than-life DJ who won the World DJ Championships in 1987. Like so many others behind the decks in the house boom, Jackson’s origins were in hip-hop, though his other interests included reggae and punk. He scored a surprise number 3 in the UK charts in 1990 with ‘Hear The Drummer (Get Wicked)’, before going on to remix for numerous clients including Gang Of Four (‘Money Talks’), De La Soul (‘Magic Number’), Beats International (‘Dub Be Good To Me’), Public Enemy (‘Bring The Noise’), Prince (‘Sign Of The Times’) and Kraftwerk (‘Tour De France’).
