BlueRidge
An energetic and technically gifted band, Blueridge play straight-ahead bluegrass with modern attitude and energy. Respected mandolinist Alan Bibey formed the original Blueridge in 1998, and released their debut Common Ground a year later, starting a long-term relationship with the Sugar Hill label. A second edition of the band -- with guitarist and former songwriter for the Lonesome River Band, Junior Sisk joining -- was heard on 2002's Come Along With Me, an album released under the name Baucom, Bibey & BlueRidge. Members Eddie Biggerstaff (bass), Joey Cox (banjo), and Alan Johnson (fiddle) joined Bibey and Sisk for 2004's Side by Side.
