AMWIN
AMWIN is a Swedish pop singer known for her blunt lyrical style and catchy, R&B-driven left-field pop. Born Amanda Winberg, she initially rose to fame as a contestant on the 2015 season of Idol and released a handful of singles under her given name before reappearing as AMWIN on her 2019 debut EP.
Hailing from the Särö peninsula south of Gothenburg, Winberg captured public interest after winning second place on the Swedish talent competition Idol. A bevy of pop singles followed throughout 2016 including the songs "Goodbye" and "Shutdown." Winberg returned in 2018, this time as AMWIN -- an abbreviation of her first and last name -- and released a pair of singles, "Uber" and "Living Mistake," which featured a more plainspoken and provocative lyrical style. Both songs later appeared on her 2019 debut EP, AMWIN in Wonderland, along with the hooky love, "Dua Lipa," named after the British pop star.
