ThxSoMch

Canadian artist ThxSoMch plays a bleak but energetic blend of post-punk, rap, and indie rock. After building his name on tracks like "Imperfect Girl" and "Keep It Tucked," his popularity exploded with the release of "Spit on My Face!," which became a viral success and cracked Billboard's Hot 100 in early 2023. The EP Sleez soon appeared, followed by singles such as "LOST!" Offering scant information aside from his Toronto origin, ThxSoMch began actively releasing original music on his social media accounts in early 2022, starting with the atmospheric "Only Need My Baby! (SMOAGT)" and "How You Always Look So Good?" Moving away from his more rap-oriented style, "Imperfect Girl" featuring thekid.ACE was dark-hued, guitar-based, and more in line with post-punk. Though he'd already gained new fans throughout the year, it was the harsh "Spit on My Face!," his final single of 2022, that helped break him into the mainstream. In addition to its millions of online streams, the song made it onto the Hot 100 and anchored ThxSoMch's 2023 EP Sleez. Following the EP, he released the singles "Waste My Mind," "Spiral," and "LOST!"
