Soran

Canada's Soran combines elements of acoustic pop, yearning R&B, and electronic music production in his stylish pop songs. After appearing as a contestant on Quebec's La Voix in 2016, he released an eponymous EP in 2018. Soran won a European fan base with his featured spot on the charting "Going On," a 2019 collaboration with Henri Pfr. He continued to draw millions of streams per track with songs such as 2020's "IG Comments Song" and 2021's "Bottled Up." Born and raised in Montreal, Soran Dussaigne grew up experimenting with a selection of musical instruments that his father kept around the home. He eventually built a fan base with a series of covers and original songs that he posted on social media. An appearance at age 17 on the French-Canadian TV singing competition La Voix further boosted to his audience; he finished in the Top 12 of 2016's season four. That led to a record deal with Audiogram, which issued his debut single, "I Wish," later the same year. Soran played all the instruments on his debut EP, 2018's Soran, which he also co-produced with Connor Seidel. A year later, he hit Belgium's Top 30 with his featured vocal on "Going On" by Belgian DJ Henri Pfr, and German electronic duo Gamper & Dadoni released a remix of his song "Julia." Soran's widespread appeal landed him on Universal Music Canada, and he made his major-label solo debut with "Stop Myself" in late 2019. He followed it with singles including the next year's "IG Comments Song" and 2021's "Bottled Up," both of which garnered millions of streams.
