Pierre Flynn

Born in Quebec City, Canada, on May 17, 1954, Pierre Flynn is a Quebec rock singer. In 1971, he made his debut as singer, keyboardist and songwriter with the group Octobre. In 1982, the group disbanded and he began writing music for artists such as Joe Bocan, Louise Forestier and Pauline Julien. He also composed for films, musicals, dance and theater. In 1984, he released his first solo 45 with the song "Possession " and presented his first shows. In 1987, he released the album Le Parfum du Hasard , which won him the Félix for Rock LP of the Year at the 1988 ADISQ gala. The song "Sur la route" scored a hit in the Quebec charts that same year. In 1989, he composed the song "Dors Caroline " for Johanne Blouin, which topped the radio charts. His second album, Jardins de Babylone , released in 1991, featured the hits "En cavale " and "Savoir aimer " . In 2001, he won the Félix award for songwriter of the year for his opus Mirador , released the same year. In 2005 and 2006, he played Abraham Van Helsing in the musical Dracula, Entre l'Amour Et la Mort . In 2006, he embarked on a solo tour, using the recordings to create the opus Vol solo , released in April of that year. In April 2015, Pierre Flynn releases his first original album since 2001, Sur la Terre.
