Paula Arenas
Paula Arenas is a Colombian singer and songwriter born in Bogotá in 1988. Inspired by Latin American romantic genres such as ranchera and balada, as well as French chanson, she released a couple of EPs on her own in 2011 and 2012, and even had a small hit with the song "Lo Que el Tiempo Dejó." Producer Julio Reyes Copello (Marc Anthony, Alejandro Sanz, Chayanne, and just about every other Latin pop artist) took an interest and offered Arenas a contract with his label, Art House Records, in 2014. The singer moved to Miami to work with Copello and in 2016 delivered her first official single, "Nada," soon followed by "Ahora Soy Libre" and "Hoy," plus a string of high-profile appearances. Matices, Arenas' first EP for Art House Records, appeared in May 2017 and notched her a Latin Grammy nomination in the Best New Artist category.
