My Luminaries
Stadium-ready, London-based alternative rock outfit My Luminaries formed in the mid-2000s around the talents of James Ewers, Sam Stopford, and Saul and Dylan Perryman. The group, which specializes in soaring, anthemic indie rock in the vein of Arcade Fire, Broken Records, and the Guillemots, released a flurry of singles and EPs between 2006 and 2007, resulting in enough buzz to land them in West London’s acclaimed Eastcote Studios a year later with producer Paul Stacey (Oasis, Black Crowes) to begin work on a proper full-length debut. The band, which by this time had swapped out the Perryman siblings for Mark Ferguson (bass) and Michael Murray (guitar), and added keyboardist Leila MacFie, released Order from the Chaos in early 2010.
