AGU

As a teenager, Anggun became a star in her native Indonesia and throughout Southeast Asia. At the age of 21, she moved to France and soon revealed herself to the French public. In 1997, the hits "La Neige au Sahara " and "La Rose des vents " introduced her suave, sensual voice and "exotic" accent to the French public. In parallel with her international career, the singer took a back seat, before winning back French audiences with her third French-language album, Luminescence, released in 2005. Elevation followed in 2008, including the track "Si tu l'avoues", and Echos in 2011, featuring new songwriters and the duet "Promets-moi le ciel" with Axel Bauer. In 2015, Anggun invites Florent Pagny on "Nos vies parallèles" and other voices such as Angélique Kidjo and Yuri Buenaventura on her album Toujours Un Ailleurs. After her eighth English-language album, 8 (2018), Anggun joined the jury of the Indonesian version of The Voice.
