For this new volume, Chief Music Officer Marc Zisman delves into his collection to share some gems with you. "It's hard to think of a more overused term than GROOVE, a word that can be applied to just about anything that makes your hips sway... But for my personal playlist of gems, I've chosen to make it exactly that: very personal, and therefore wholly subjective, namely what these six letters mean to me in terms of style, origin and temporality. At Qobuz, “eclecticism” is written in large letters on the front of the store, and yet a sound, a vibe, a chord, a little something unites all these tracks together... Unsurprisingly, the 40 tracks mainly navigate soul, funk and jazz fusion territory, but sometimes veer towards electro, hip-hop, house or South America. They feature legends (Grover Washington Jr., The Meters, Herbie Hancock, Isaac Hayes) alongside lesser-known artists, not to say cult figures or those who have been completely forgotten (The Poets of Rhythm, Dennis Coffey, Faze-O, Ernie & the Top Notes). The sensual relationship each of us has with music is so unique and singular that I hope these 40 tracks, which form one great whole for me, will also be a source of groove for you.” Marc Zisman
