I AM X is the solo vehicle for Sneaker Pimps vocalist/guitarist Chris Corner. Taking advantage of that band’s hiatus to explore an edgier electro-industrial sound, his second album, THE ALTERNATIVE delves into ever darker lyrical and sonic territory. Combining the brooding melodicism of Corner’s vocals with exquisite guitar and piano-driven bluster, I AM X delivers a stately blend of melancholic reverie and rugged post-industrial atmospheres.
