Sam Black Church
Boston hardcore band Sam Black Church -- singer Jet, guitarist Ben Crandall, bassist Richard G. Lewis and drummer J.R. Roach -- released two albums for local label Taang! during the mid-'90s: a self-titled album in 1993 and the follow-up Let in Life, released the following year. For 1997's That Which Does Not Kill Us...Makes Us Stronger, the group jumped to Untangled Records; The Black Comedy followed a year later.
