Boyish

A Brooklyn duo comprised of vocalist India Shore and guitarist Claire Altendahl, Boyish pairs their dynamic indie pop and rock with lyrical themes of heartbreak, queerness, family drama, and existential angst. Formed in 2016 at the Berklee College of Music, Boyish released the gritty, alt-country-styled Carnation in 2018, with the like-minded Garden Spider arriving in 2020. Forced into lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic, Shore and Altendahl retooled their sound, culminating in the release of 2022's passionate, indie rock-leaning EP My Friend Mica and 2023's Little Demon Boy, the latter of which featured the King Princess-assisted hit "Kill Your Pain."
