Austin Tate
British duo Austin Tate blend bittersweet R&B vocals with smooth, driving late-night house beats. Consisting of established producer Ed Butler (Billon) and songwriter Lee Paul Williams, the pair have released several singles together, including 2022's "Late Night Body Language."
Ed Butler, formerly of drum'n'bass duo Cinematic, began releasing house music as Billon in 2013. "They Know," a track issued under his own name, was named one of the essential tunes of 2020 by influential DJ Pete Tong. Lee Paul Williams has also been active and successful for many years, having co-written the BTS song "Lost" and MK's "Body 2 Body," for which he performed vocals. The two joined forces in 2021, releasing the debut track "Endorphins" near the beginning of the year. "Hurt This Way" followed, and in 2022, Austin Tate released "Synchronised." They also collaborated with SOMMA and yuma. on "Harder We Fall," and signed to Big Beat Records/Atlantic, releasing "Late Night Body Language" (with Just Charlii).
