A coming-out and swan-song album (all-in-one) for the Abdul Samad brothers, who produced and wrote every track. Hakeem and Bilal Abdul Samad supply most of the creative juices; and their parents, Angela and Jabari Abdul Samad, get exec-producer props. This was a definite attempt to harden their soft bubblegum image, but apparently, Motown's hierarchy didn't appreciate solid efforts like "Apple Juice," "Hak's House of Pleasure," "You Got Me Crying," and the title track. So the production-rich/promotion-poor album never got recognized. Motown was banking on a different perspective from the Boys after they experienced a few homegrown flops. But the strategy blew up in Motown face when the brothers walked away from a newly signed six-year deal partly because of Motown's apathy toward their self-productions.
