This 20-track compilation reunites material extracted from early singles and from the first -- and best -- two albums. Almendra brought delicate poetry and musical experimentation within pop structure to the early Argentinean rock scene in the late '60s and early '70s. "Muchacha Ojos de Papel," "Figuración," "Rutas Argentinas" or "Plegaria para un Niño Dormido" are classics. Unfortunately there are no liner notes for Inolvidables RCA: 20 Grandes Exitos, but, for newcomers, this is a great place to start.
