London Symphony Orchestra
La más antigua sinfónica de su ciudad, La Orquesta Sinfónica de Londres fue fundada en 1904 y se hizo conocida mundialmente a partir de sus primeras grabaciones para gramófono en 1912. A lo largo de las décadas la orquesta realizó innumerables presentaciones radiofónicas y televisivas, en general para la BBC. Buena parte de su fama reside sin embargo en su contribución a la banda sonora de clásicos cinematográficos, en particular la saga de La guerra de las galaxias. Además de multitud de grabaciones dedicados al repertorio clásico, su extensa discografía también incluye álbumes de versiones sinfónicas de artistas de rock o jazz como The Rolling Stones, Jethro Tull, George Gershwin o Ella Fitzgerald.© TiVo Leer más
