Golden Browne

Golden Browne is the progressive R&B union of production trio Columbia Nights and singer/songwriter Jenna Camille. The Washington, D.C.-based musicians debuted the group in 2020, and the next year, after a handful of singles and an EP, released a mellow and stimulating self-titled album. All four members of Golden Browne are active in D.C.'s music community. John E. Daise, Hayling Price, and Jason "BrotherSpanky" Edwards are known as Columbia Nights. Under that name, they've issued the Dawn | Dusk EP, the In All Things LP, and numerous stray tracks. The Atlanta-born, Maryland-raised Jenna Camille -- who is also a pianist and producer -- has been involved with music since she was a youngster. She studied in D.C. at the New Sewell Conservatory and the Duke Ellington School of the Arts before advancing to jazz studies at Michigan State University and the University of the District of Columbia. Before she linked with Columbia Nights, she was behind recordings such as This Is What I'm Going Through (a collaboration with Peter Ricardo) and numerous singles including "Love Me Right" (with the Other Guys). Camille, Daise, Price, and Edwards self-issued the first Golden Browne single, the crisp hip-hop soul track "Get Down," in March 2020, and at the end of that year returned with the unique Bright Moments, consisting of 15 minute-long pieces. Golden Browne joined the roster of Hipnott Records in 2021 with "We Come in Peace," "My Mama Said," "Erasure," and "Something," singles that whet appetites for the full-length Golden Browne, which arrived that September.
