Op het negende album van Muse, Will of the People, staan songs die het best omschreven kunnen worden als vintage Muse. Zanger Matt Bellamy en zijn mannen keren namelijk op de plaat terug naar de sound van de begindagen. Ook de thematiek is bekend. Al jaren zingt de band over crises en politieke strijd en op het nieuwe album wordt dat vertaald in nummers die gaan over de tumultueuze tijden die we momenteel beleven. Hoewel het album niet tot de allerbeste platen van Muse gerekend kan worden, is het wel een plaat die vooral veel fans van het eerste uur zal kunnen bekoren.
